Cofradia del Vino Chileno 

Members of the Anglo Chilean Society who love Chilean wine are able to apply to join Cofradia del Vino Chileno.

Cofradía del Vino Chileno – British Branch was founded in 2005 and is affiliated to the Cofradía del Mérito Vitivinícola de Chile, founded in Santiago, Chile in 1993.

The aim of the Cofradía is to develop a deep understanding of Chile and its wines amongst a group of like-minded people in an ambience of friendship and enjoyment and through a series of events during the year.

Events

  • Two dinners per year, with guest speakers.

  • A Fine Wine Dinner to showcase some of the top wines of Chile.
​
  • A summer reception at the Ambassador’s residence.
​
  • Complimentary invitations to selected Chilean wine tastings.
​​
  • A special Cofradía trip to Chile took place in October 2007, March 2011, and February 2016 with hopes for future visits dependent on interest

Membership

  • ​The fee for joining the Cofradía is set at £100 for individual members and £150 for couples
 
  • Each member will receive an engraved medal and ribbon, or a brooch for special Cofradía occasions.
     
  • The annual membership fee is £40, payable on 1st March
 
  • The membership is restricted to 100 people

  • The Patron of the Cofradía is The Ambassador of Chile to the United Kingdom

  • The Secretary of the Cofradía is Dr Fran Sivers, Partner of Berrymede Associates
