Poetry Reading by Elvira Hernandez

La Joyita Cartonera publishers, The Anglo Chilean Society and the Chilean Embassy in London are proud to invite you to the launch of La bandera de Chile (1981) by poet Elvira Hernández. The event will have the presence of Elvira Hernández, Bárbara Fernández (prologist and literary critic), Elizabeth Cárdenas (editor-in-chief of La Joyita Cartonera) and Patricio Rodríguez (Chilean scholar, expert on Hernández's work).

Barbara Fernandez, is a PhD student studying the poet. She will introduce Elvira Hernandez, who will read out a selection of her poetry (In Spanish, with English handouts). There will also be a Q&A. The books that are being launched are in Spanish, and they are all handmade unique editions, published "cartonera-style".
