Anglo Venture in Chile and how the Society and I have made a difference

For many years the Anglo Chilean Society has been making an annual grant to Project Trust to enable two students to spend a year in Chile teaching English. This is a short story from one student we sponsored.

Chile. One of the most versatile strips of land on planet Earth. Abundant in scorching hot desert plains, breathtaking mountains accompanied by snow and cacti, a humongous coastline boasting wild winds and palm trees, and down below glaciers thwart with penguins, thistles and running ice blue waters. However, there's one very important element, one would argue THE element, of Chile that spans the entire length of the country, an element even the likes of 'Eye Traveller' and 'Lonely Planet' often fail to mention.
