Chilean soprano Isabela Díaz is making her mark on the international opera scene. Now based in England, she joined the prestigious Jette Parker Artists Programme at The Royal Opera for the 2023/24 season.
A graduate of the University of Chile and Teatro Colón’s Higher Institute of Art, she has performed leading roles at Teatro Colón, Teatro Argentino de La Plata, and the Municipal Theatre of Santiago. Recent highlights include performances with The Royal Opera (Carmen, Hansel and Gretel), The Royal Ballet (Fauré Requiem), and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (Iolanta).
In 2024/25, she returns to The Royal Opera as Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), Jana (Jenůfa), and Vespetta (Pimpinone).
She also performed for the Anglo Chilean Society members at the Chilean Ambassador’s Residence in September 2024 to celebrate the ACS 80th anniversary. Isabela was awarded a grant from the Alan Macdonald Endowment to perform for such a poignant occasion.
